The ornithological reseve Veliko blato is situated in the southeastern part of the island of Pag, near the locality Povljana. As much as 143 bird types have been recorded in this swampy area. An observation post has been set in the nature reserve, so that those who are fond of birds, in addition to the sightseeing of the locality, can enjoy in bird-watching and photographing. Malo blato near Velik blato as well as Kolanjsko blato near the locality Kolan are also interesting ornithological reserves.
